Where do you ship from, and how?

Every order ships from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, with PostNL, the Dutch postal service. Outside the Netherlands the final delivery is handled by your local carrier (USPS in the United States, Royal Mail in the UK, Deutsche Post in Germany, and so on). You receive one track & trace link by email and can follow the whole journey with it.

How long until my order arrives?

I pack and hand orders to the carrier within 2-3 business days. Delivery time on top of that depends on where you live; see the shipping table above. During announced holiday periods (a notice will show on the site) orders ship after the date mentioned in the notice.

Can I buy the artwork framed?

Yes. Listings are for the unframed print, and on each piece's page you can add a black wooden IKEA KNOPPÄNG frame in the matching size (21 × 30 cm for A5 and A4, 40 × 50 cm with a white mat for A3). I charge exactly what the frame costs at IKEA in the Netherlands (€7.99 or €12.99), no markup; you can look the frames up at ikea.com. The front is shatterproof plastic, which survives shipping far better than glass. A framed piece ships insured as a parcel, which costs more than the flat print rate; the exact shipping price shows at checkout. And because every print is a standard size, your own framer or any store-bought frame will also fit without custom work.

What do sizes like A5 and A3 mean?

They are European paper formats. A5 is 14.8 × 21 cm (5.8 × 8.3 in), about the size of a paperback book. A4 is 21 × 29.7 cm (8.3 × 11.7 in), standard letter-ish paper. A3 is 29.7 × 42 cm (11.7 × 16.5 in), a proper poster. Every product page lists the exact size in both centimeters and inches.

How is my artwork packaged?

Prints ship flat in a rigid mailer between acid-free paper, or rolled in a sturdy tube for larger sizes. Framed pieces and paintings are wrapped in glassine and bubble wrap with corner protection, boxed as a parcel. Everything is packed to survive the mail, and if it somehow doesn't, see the question about damage below.

Can I return my order?

Yes. Under EU consumer law you may withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. Email me within those 14 days, then send the artwork back in its original condition and packaging within 14 days of your notice. Return shipping is at your cost. I refund the full purchase price including original standard shipping within 14 days of receiving the return. Commissioned, made-to-order work is excluded from withdrawal.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Please email me photos of the damaged artwork and packaging within 48 hours of delivery. You'll get a replacement where possible, or a full refund, your choice. Claims with the carrier are my problem, not yours.

Will I pay customs or import charges?

Within the EU: no, never. Outside the EU (including the United Kingdom, United States and Canada), your country may charge import duties or taxes on delivery. These are set by your customs authority and are the buyer's responsibility.

How can I pay?

Checkout is handled by Stripe. It accepts iDEAL, all major credit and debit cards, and other local payment methods depending on your country. I never see or store your payment details.

Is the artwork I receive exactly what's pictured?

Each listing says what it is. Original paintings and linocuts are one of a kind: you receive the exact piece pictured. Risograph and screen prints are handmade in small runs, so small variations in ink and registration are part of their charm. Colours may differ slightly from your screen.

A piece I love is marked "Sold". Can I still get it?

Originals that are sold are gone, but many designs exist as prints or can be revisited. Write me via the Contact page and we'll figure something out.

Do you take commissions?

Depending on my schedule, yes. Get in touch via the Contact page with a short description of what you have in mind.
